Storytelling for Virtual

🔥 The Best of the Best:

✨ Speaking of virtual trade shows. A lot of people are diving into platforms that help with this specific issue. This webinar is here to help: So Many Options, So Little Time: Choosing A Digital Event Platform!

I started journaling and I highly recommend it! 📘

Hello lovely reader. How are you doing? No really. How are you actually doing? If your feelings about life are not the most positive right now, that’s okay. You’re definitely not alone. There are a lot of heavy things happening in the world and personally right now. It’s a lot to handle.

So many thoughts and feelings have been coursing through me these past few months, and I needed some sort of outlet. I needed some peace of mind.

When I was in Tahoe, I bought a journal and a pen and just started writing. Not to publish someday as a memoir from Covid-19 life. And not to feel like I was doing something productive. I just started writing for myself.

Now, I am not here to tell you what to do or outline all the benefits of journaling. (Is journaling even a word? I keep getting the little red squiggle under it as I’m typing, but how else would you make it a verb?) There are plenty of videos and articles out there that dive into detail about how amazing it is to journal.

All I’m going to suggest is to buy a notebook and a pen. Never underestimate the importance of good tools. Once you have the basics, it is so much easier to get started. And when you’ve acquired the goods, do whatever your heart desires.

Write down ideas, draw some sketches, talk about what is going on in your life, talk about what’s happening in the events industry. It’s going to be amazing to look back on one day.

Since starting this routine of journaling every day, my anxiety has decreased immensely. It feels like I’m clearing out the cookies in my brain! It’s incredibly healing and kind of addictive so I thought I would share my experience!

I know each of us is dealing with this madness on an individual level. Yes, we are experiencing the pandemic and the conversation surrounding racism collectively, but we are all coming at it from different perspectives. Write some things down, listen to yourself, and be the support system that you need.

And now, The Weekly Soundcheck:

I just wanted to share what Netflix did in response to the Black Lives Matter movement. They compiled all the movies/TV shows/documentaries that provide educational content about racial inequality in America and around the world.

I thought this was such a genius way to show support and encourage people to learn more about this topic.

This additional screen and the curated collection that Netflix put together lead me to watch 13th which taught me so much information that I was never taught in school. Being educated about history and current events is up to us, and now there are no excuses. Thank you, Netflix!
